Farewell, Marjorie Gross
Posted by Paul S on Thu February 19, 2004 at 22h57Marjorie Gross, a director with our club for 22 years, will be moving to Victoria with her husband, Max, at the end of this month.
In honour of Marjorie's many years of service, a Farewell Dinner will be held this Saturday evening, February 19th. Please email or phone Betty ASAP if you wish to attend but have not yet committed, as she needs to know how much food to order.
I wish to take this opportunity to publically thank Marjorie for her contribution to the club. Not only that, however, she also had a profound influence on my life in many ways: Showing confidence in me during my early days as a Scrabble® newbie, supporting my directorship, teaching me how she did the club's accounting, and of course many many games of Scrabble® as well. I will miss you, Marjorie, and I hope you and Max will enjoy Victoria.
