Edmonton Scrabble Club tournament results August 2
Posted by Huguette on Sun August 22, 2010 at 15h56Thank you to the 18 players who participated in the Edmonton Scrabble Club's 16th tournament today. We were pleased to welcome John Lazeski from Saskatoon and 6 players (Wilma Kosik, Troy Millington, Maureen Morris, Danny Panganiban, Juraj Pivovarov, and Jason Krueger) from Calgary. Thankfully the smoke from the B.C. forest fires was considerably less than what it was just two days ago.
Congratulations to Juraj, Danny, and Jason in Division 1; to Ben, Geraldine, and Maureen in Division 2; and to Troy, Ken and Dorothy in Division 3, for finishing 1st, 2nd and 3rd and in the money. Those finishing 4th (Matthew, Lorne, and Wilma) each won a Bingo Crosswords puzzle book to practice with.
Winner of the coveted Edmonton Scrabble Club cup was Juraj for his 131-point Q play of QUACKING.
