A big thanks to Paul Sidorsky for running the book keeping aspects of the tournament. He
was running his new tournament results software called 'Aedile'. Everything went very smoothly
and served as an excellent trial run for him. Expect more good things to come. Paul has written
the successful 'LampWords' program for the Palm Pilot, and this is his first foray into tournament
administration software.
Congratulations to Eric on winning with such an excellent score in the top division. Mike Ebanks
was the only one to beat him, although Terri came next closest, losing only by 4. I had three
quick bingos in our game to take a lead of 277-102, up by 175. Without getting a single bingo himself
he still won the game, 440-377. What a comeback! Noella Ward had a fantastic tournament too, finishing 2nd and moving up about 8 or 9 spots from her initial seeding. She's been long overdue for a good performance like this. Allan Simon played very well, hovering in the #2 spot for most of the tournament, but faltered in the last two rounds to finish 3rd.
Betty Bergeron did very well in Div 2, having to wrest the lead from Sylvia after day one.
She won 5/6 on Sunday to do so.
