The Scrabble Club is Reopening

Dear friends, after a very long drought which seemed to last forever, we're very pleased to announce the reopening of our club, with a few modifications at the start.

1. GoGetters is not available for our usual Thu./Sun. times till September due to West Hillhust staffing issues. However, the club can play on Fridays Aug. 06, 13, 20 and Sept. 03 from 1.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. (5 rounds, same as our Sunday sessions). They have a prebooking on Fri. Aug. 27. Please arrive at leat 15 minutes early as we have to leave promptly at 5.30 p.m. or the alarm will sound. The cost is $5, as for Sundays.

2. Starting Sept. 09, we will be resuming our regular sessions on Thu. at 6.45 p.m. and Sun. at 12.00 noon. However, there will be no session on Sun. Sept. 12 to avoid conflict with Maureen Morris's tournament which many of us will be playing in. We will send you all a reminder re. the resuming of the regular Sept. sessions in about a month.

3. You have to strictly follow the health protocols stated below. Its on an honour system, and we sincerely hope everyone will be honourable.

4. Please reply to this email and confirm your attendance for the Friday sessions so we can guage the level of interest. Also please pass the word around to anyone not having email access.

HEALTH PROTOCOLS

1. All equipment to be washed and/or sanitized just before the first meeting, and regularly afterwards.

2. Players to bring their own refreshments, at least for the first few sessions, until we change policy.

3. Do not attend if you have the slightest cold, cough, fever, etc.

4. Players should be FULLY vaccinated two weeks prior.

5. Mask wearing at all times is mandatory when not consuming food, as required by GoGettters.

6. Players to thoroughly sanitize their hands with sanitizer provided by the club at each station before each game, in front of the opponent.
