Winter Results
Posted by Paul S on Sun January 27, 2002 at 0h00The Winter Tournament results are now online. 41 people braved -30 degree temperatures to participate, including over a dozen from outside of Calgary! This is a record for the Winter Tournament. A few people had to cancel due to the weather or we would have had even more!
Numbers like this get us even more excited about the expanded Western Canadian Championship coming this October - 31 rounds in total! The flyer is now ready and I will have the full tournament details online next weekend.
By the way, I've also put links to text versions of all tournament results since 1999 on the results index. These have always been available, just not linked. The text versions are suitable for posting to mailing lists or for printing out on a text-only line printer (don't laugh, lots of them are still in use - our University's primary undergrad printer is one example). Note there are usually a few minor formatting codes present that you might want to edit out first.
