NewsWhy is the marathon not rated?Posted by Juraj on Wed December 10, 2014 at 9h25Short Answer
Administrative errors.
Long Answer
NASPA maintains a list of tournaments. So does cross-tables.com. Usually they are in sync. As it happens, the marathon was on NASPA, then accidentally deleted. But since it had already been added to cross-tables.com, no one noticed the error. That is, until we tried to submit the tournament to get it rated. As NASPA has a registration policy, whereby a tournament must be registered and approved before it is sanctioned, it appeared as if we were trying to rate a tournament that didn't exist. After tracing the error back, it does appear it was an accidental deletion, and will likely be rated soon. However, some key individuals involved are on holidays, so we have to wait a little longer than usual.
Thanks for your understanding and patience. Everyone involved is trying their hardest to make sure it gets rated, and asap.
