2016 Awards

The directors are pleased to announce the resurrection of the awards program for the calendar year 2016. Wendy used to keep statistics and we made awards in various categories, with small trophies handed out. This time we will award club admission cards as awards. The awards will be given for both Saturday and Thursday sessions as follows:
For Saturdays, a first place finisher will receive 5 points, 2nd, 3 points and 3rd 1 point. At the end of the year the points will be tallied and the top EIGHT players will receive prizes.
For Thursdays, to be eligible a player will have to have played 30 per cent of the number of games of the most active player. Any one player can only win a maximum of 2 prizes, thereafter the runner up in each category will get the prize. However the actual winner will be the player of record on the website. You can follow the progress on the website week by week on the Stats and Awards page.
The 8 categories are as follows:
- Best Winning Percentage
- Most Wins
- Most Best Records
- Most Improved Player
- Living on the Edge (10 games)
- Highest Spread
- Most Thursday Nights with the High Game
- Tuff Luck (10 games)
A modest awards dinner may be held in early 2017 to present the awards if there is sufficient interest. We hope everyone will have fun vying for these awards.
